What kind of digital cameras use the CF card?
I have a Canon A85 that uses the CF card. He is old, but I'm still of help and want to buy a larger capacity CF card for it. So my fear is if I change my camera to the future my CF card is still usable? Do not use any of FC Canon cameras? I'm afraid not .. So what could be expected to be available?
Compact flash cards are relatively inexpensive, around $ 40 for 2 GB card and $ 20 for A1 GB of memory. On the A85, which would be capable of taking hundreds of photos. Although the A85 is dead, you could probably sell or donate your card to charity. Compact Flash is far from being obsolete. Upper compact digital cameras because the use of flash memory controllers integrated in the card and card CF are very fast. The biggest weaknesses of CF involving access system, which can lead to bent pins in the camera, and the physical size needed for connection. In this sense, the SD memory is better. However, newer cameras high level of Nikon and Canon uses compact flash memory. What else likely to make any memory card has expired and the larger the file size bigger in the latest cameras. There was a time not long ago, when a 512MB card was great, now what kind of card is often too small. One option to consider: you can buy SD and buy an adapter to fit the CF slot. However, the cost of the adapter is what I personally think it is only more buying CF memory card.
